Scott Disick could be landing his very own reality show on E! considering the fact that he is still under contract with the network for another couple of years, sources claim. The father-of-three, who was infamously dumped by his girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian over the summer, is said to be in talks for work on his own program, presumably set to air sometime next year.
When the Kardashians signed their last deal with E! last year for another four years, Disick was believed to have been included in the contract, meaning that he has to play a part on the show to get paid. But now that Kardashian has dumped him for good, producers are in talks to finalize a show for the socialite — that way, the network does not end up paying him for doing nothing. Not that being on a reality show requires work in itself.
“Since he is already under contract with the show, if they are going to phase him out it has to be done in a way that fits into the existing contracts,” a source tells RadarOnline. “Scott is frantic right now to save his contract because he is blowing through money and is terrified of being poor.”
It is not hard to believe the supposed fact that Disick is afraid of “being poor” because his recent antics has proven that he loves spending money as fast as it comes. He has multiple endorsements lined up through his large social media following, so the paid-per-appearance gigs he is doing, along with the upcoming reality, should keep his cash flowing nicely.
KUWTK fans are convinced that the 32-year-old would be a massive draw in ratings if rumors are true on the possible spin-off show he is set to land. There is no denying that Disick has played a huge part in the family’s success with their reality show, having embarked on fights, feuds and tantrums over the course of years. Furthermore, his grieving moments following the death of his parents in 2013 and 2014 were also well-documented on the show to an audience of 3.5 million viewers.
As for his relationship with Kardashian, sources say that the twosome most certainly do not have the same chemistry that they used to. The 36-year-old has acknowledged the fact that Disick will never be able to get his act together and be a responsible boyfriend, which would explain why she never went on to marry him. They have remained mutual for the sake of their three children, but other than that, Kardashian is not looking back.
As of right now, no further details regarding Disick’s potential reality show have been revealed to the public. But it is more than likely that with the Kardashian spin-off Dash Dolls looking at a possible cancelation, E! will need new programs to fill up their time slots.
