Resurrect America: Bring God Back

God

God has been removed from our schools, courts, and country. The Constitution is being ignored and changed by the courts, as well as our legislature. Our economy is failing, our country is almost $19 trillion in debt, crime and moral decay is widespread, and more people are living in poverty than ever before. Our Forefathers and veterans risked their lives to give us our freedom. We must have the courage to risk our time, money, and vote to save our freedom, as well as restore the “American Dream.” We must “Resurrect America” and bring God back.

The First Amendment states.”Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Therefore, how can prayer be forbidden in our schools if Congress is not allowed to prohibit the free exercise of religion via the Constitution?

Yet, in 2013, the American Humanist Association (AHA) filed a lawsuit seeking a preliminary injunction against the Greenville County School District. The Mountain View Elementary School allegedly violated its students’ First Amendment rights by holding its graduation ceremony at a local Baptist University’s chapel auditorium. The lawsuit also claimed that school officials encouraged students to include prayers in their speeches. The AHA is providing counsel to an anonymous atheist student and her parents, who claim she was uncomfortable when one of the student graduation speakers began to pray.

The AHA is providing counsel to an anonymous atheist student and her parents, who claim she was uncomfortable when one of the student graduation speakers began to pray. I ponder which First Amendment right was being violated by holding the graduation ceremony in a chapel auditorium, and allowing the students to use their free speech to include a prayer in their speeches?

It seems that the AHA is trying to violate the students’ rights to exercise their religious beliefs, utilize their freedom of speech, and assemble peaceably. No one is being forced to pray or participate in any religious ceremony. Rather, it is a graduation ceremony held in a chapel with some students wishing to add a prayer to their speeches.

The Constitution does not forbid public prayer. In fact, it prohibits restricting prayer. The student was not forced to pray. The student was merely uncomfortable. What about all the Christians who are uncomfortable about Gay parades and/or Gay marriage? Marriage is a sacrament in the Catholic Church and was a religious ceremony for centuries. Why is it perfectly legal to allow the definition of a religious ceremony, such as marriage, to be legally changed, but it is illegal to pray in schools?

Our country was founded on a belief in God. The Founding Fathers regularly opened public ceremonies with prayer. In many of their writings, they spoke of God and our Creator. Our legal tender has “In God We Trust” printed on it.
There is a movement to remove “In God We Trust” from our money. There is an effort to remove God from everything in our society. We cannot afford to alienate God. This is not the time to eliminate God. It is the time to turn to God for help and guidance.

When God is removed from our society, there is no right or wrong. As a result, the morals of our nation have been decimated and will soon be destroyed. The result is rioting, looting, mob rule, and no respect for authority. The Federal Government may resort to Martial Law. We will not be free. We will have no rights. We will be controlled by the Government.

This is why it is time to “Resurrect America.”  We must uphold the Constitution and bring God back into our nation. How can we ask God to bless America when we are rejecting him as a country? The American Dream is dying. The United States is being destroyed from within. We must Resurrect America by restoring our respect for God, bringing Him back into the nation’s fold, and asking Him to bless America.

“Therefore, how can prayer be forbidden in our schools if Congress is not allowed to prohibit the free exercise of religion via the Constitution?”

Because the author doesn’t know what actual supreme court opinions (like Engel v. Vitale (1962) and Abington School District v. Schempp (1963)) say.

NO supreme court opinion has ever prohibited students from praying, period — it’s ignorant articles like this one that prevent students from praying by spreading misinformation.
