Mother’s Day Shooting Injures Black Male in North Lawndale Area of Chicago [Video]

Guardian Liberty Voice Photojournalist, Untrail D. Boyd, reports that a black male has been struck by a bullet in a shooting that occurred at the intersection of South Homan Avenue and West Arlington Street in the North Lawndale community of Chicago. The event took place on an otherwise quiet Mother’s Day afternoon at approximately 3:45 p.m., on May 8, 2016, near the Homan Community Square.

According to Boyd, police are looking for a black Infinity and an assailant described as wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans and red underwear.

Presently, law enforcement has blocked off the crime area as detectives search for evidence that could help them solve the case.

Boyd has noted that the incident occurred in an area surrounded by three schools: The Holy Family School, located at 4135 W. Arlington; DRW College Prep, situated at 931 S Homan, and LEARN Romano Butler Campus, located at 1132 S Homan Avenue.

The YMCA on Homan also serves the community where the shooting took place.

It is perhaps worth mentioning that the Chicago Police Department has a station located in close proximity to the shooting at 1011 S Homan Ave.
