7 News Miami reported on Saturday, July 23, 2016, shots were fired in a Miami, Fla., neighborhood around 4:30 p.m. EST. The Miami Police arrived on the scene at Northwest 36th Court and Second Street. The police stated, two people were pronounced dead and multiple other victims were injured, including a seven-year-old child.
All of the victims were transported and treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The severity of the victim’s injuries is still unknown. This is at least the second shooting in the Miami area in the past week.
According to ABC 57 News, on Monday, July 18, Charles Kinsey was shot, by a Miami police officer, while unarmed, on the ground, and his hands up. Kinsey is a therapist, who was trying to make sure the police did not shoot his 23-year-old autistic patient. This event came under fire but the officer who made the controversial shot is now suspended with pay.
There is no further information available at this time. The Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers are offering a $1,000 reward for all eligible tips. Callers may remain anonymous. Guardian Liberty Voice will provide updates as they are made available.
