On Sept. 1, 2016, the San Francisco Police Department issued an Amber Alert following the abduction of an 11-month-old baby.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) announced that a female abducted an 11-month-old baby boy on August 31, in Bay Area. When the child was last seen, he was wearing a gray sweatshirt and pajamas with shark figures on them.
According to CBS, the suspect is a 44-year-old woman who is thought to be the victim’s grandmother. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, a skirt, and boots. Official sources claim that she was driving a 2004 white Acura TL with a black front bumper. Also, as ABC7 News stated, the car’s license plate, registered in California, is 7HPY348.
The Amber Alert issued following the baby’s abduction is in effect for San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, and Solano.
Anyone who sees or has information on either the victim or the suspect should alert the police immediately. This is an ongoing story and will be updated as the information comes available.
