Arsenal Won the First Derby of London in Premier League

On Sept. 24, 2016, Arsenal FC won the first derby in London of the 2016-17 Premier League season. At the Emirates Stadium, the team coached by Arsene Wenger defeated Chelsea FC. The final score was 3-0.

Alexis Sanchez gave him team the advantage, scoring after only 11 minutes into the game. Three minutes later, Theo Walcott put the ball into the net with a shot past Thibaut Courtois.

A few minutes before halftime, Mesut Ozil changed the scoreboard for the last time. Sanchez provided the assist for the German soccer player.

As of this report, Arsenal occupies the 3rd position in the Premier League’s ranking. Wenger’s team won four consecutive matches. Chelsea is in the 8th place. The crew managed by Antonio Conte has not obtained a victory in Premier League since August 27.

Results of the 6th Stage

On September 24, seven other games took place. The results registered in the sixth stage of the 2016-17 Premier League season are:

  • Bournemouth 1-0 Everton
  • Liverpool 5-1 Hull City
  • Middlesbrough 1-2 Tottenham
  • Stoke City 1-1 West Brom
  • Sunderland 2-3 Crystal Palace
  • Swansea 1-3 Manchester City

To complete the stage two more games will take place in the next days:

  • West Ham – Southampton, on September 25, at 8:00 a.m. PDT.
  • Burnley – Watford, on September 26, at 12:00 p.m. PDT.
