John Boehner the Bully

John Boehner the BullyBoehner the Bully

The President wants it, the American people want it, but “Mr. No” doesn’t want to offend his wealthy friends.

John Boehner, whose title is “Speaker of the House of Representatives”, though no one knows what he really does, vehemently said “no” Sunday to any form of increased federal revenue.

Let me correct your errant thinking Mr. Speaker.  We do not work to pay your salary and allow you to receive “perks” from your friends.  YOU work for US, or at least you should be.

Your inaction will eventually cause grief to those actually affected by automatic federal spending cuts.  You won’t feel any pain, but many of us will.

The Employment Development Department is reporting unemployed workers collecting federal extensions of unemployment benefits in California and across the nation could face at least a 10.7% cut in those weekly benefit amounts starting with weeks of unemployment beginning March 31, 2013.

That means that a check of 300 dollars a week will be reduced to approximately 270 dollars.

Could you live off that paltry sum?  I don’t think so.

Republicans claim the effects of the Sequester are exaggerated.  Well, they don’t really care either way, do they?  They don’t have to worry, and wait and see if they cause additional financial difficulty for working class America.

Boehner and the boys act as if they’re trying to lower their approval rating even farther.  There’s not much more room at the bottom.

Everyone is quoted as saying they are “disgusted” with continual bickering and posturing in Washington.  That’s everyone but Congress who is quite happy with the status quo.  Doing nothing means more time off for them to spend your tax dollars.

As Ben Stein, a staunch conservative, said on CBS Sunday Morning, “get back to work”.

If ignoreThe anonymous columnist demonstrates an inordinate lack of knowledge of the social environment in the U.S. His apriori statement that “… all Americans want it… ” is a lie of the highest order. At most only 51% voted for the President. That was not a ringing endorsement of his party or his programs. By their own admission it was a coalition of the lowest social and economic strata of voter whom many consider the least enlightened. Intellectual honesty or demonstrated ability to be productive members of society are not hallmarks of his supporters. If ignorance is bliss being a columnist for the Guardian Express must be the most glorious occupation in the world.

AS A FORMER JOURNALIST, LET ME PICK APART HIS RANT AGAINST REPUBLICANS.

HE RANTS THAT REPUBLICANS REFUSE TO CONTINUE RECKLESS SPENDING SAYING: “The President wants it, the American people want it, but “Mr. No” doesn’t want to offend his wealthy friends.” MR. TURNAGE, CAN YOU NAME ONE OF THESE WEALTHY “FRIENDS? AND, BY THE WAY, MORE THAN HALF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT FEDERAL SPENDING REDUCED.

OF COURSE NOT TURNAGE CAN’T NAME A SINGLE WEALTHY PERSON THAT THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE IS FRONTING FOR. IT’S A PHONY STRAW MAN ARGUMENT DESIGNED TO HOODWINK UNINFORMED CITIZENS EAGER FOR SELF-DELUSION. CONSERVATIVES HAVE PRINCIPLES AND POLICIES WHICH ARE ECONOMIC GROWTH FOR ALL SECTORS ENCOURAGED BY SENSIBLE GOVERNMENT SPENDING AND LOW GOVERNMENT DEBT. IF GIVING GOVERNMENT MONEY AWAY MADE NATIONS GREAT THEN EGYPT AND THE FORMER SOVIET UNION WOULD BE THRIVING.

HERE’S A REAL BELLY LAUGH WHERE TURNAGE AIMS A WEIRD SLAM AT BOEHNER BASED UPON TURNAGE’S OWN IGNORANCE OF BASIC AMERICAN GOVERNMENTAL WORKINGS: “John Boehner, whose title is “Speaker of the House of Representatives”, though no one knows what he really does, vehemently said “no” Sunday to any form of increased federal revenue.

JOHN BOEHNER IS SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE. GET IT? WERE YOU IN THE DARK WHEN NANCY PELOSI WAS SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE. WAS HER JOB A MYSTERY TO YOU THEN? THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES HAVEN’T CHANGED. IT SOUNDS LIKE A SCHOOLBOY PUTDOWN THAT ONLY REFLECTS BADLY ON THE INSULTER. BOEHNER IS PRESENTLY REPRESENTING HIS CONSTITUENTS WHO DEMAND THE REPUBLICANS REIN IN FEDERAL SPENDING.

TURNAGE THEN PLAYS THE THREADBARE OLD HOWL ABOUT HOW MEAN REPUBLICANS ARE SAYING: “Your inaction will eventually cause grief to those actually affected by automatic federal spending cuts. You won’t feel any pain, but many of us will.”

PERHAPS TURNAGE DOESN’T KNOW THAT A FRIGHTFUL AMOUNT OF GOVERNMENT SPENDING FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS OF ALL TYPES IS BEING BORROWED FROM FOREIGN NATIONS AND THE TREASURY ITSELF AND THAT UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED TIME AND AGAIN. PERHAPS TURNAGE SHOULD WRITE A COLUMN SHRIEKING ABOUT THE NEED FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS. OF COURSE THIS MIGHT REQUIRE A CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF PRESIDENT OBAMA’S HANDLING OF THE ECONOMY OVER THE PAST FOUR YEARS.

BEFORE TURNAGE CALLS FOR THE GREAT GIFT OF UNFETTERED UNEMPLOYMENT SPENDING HE SHOULD PERHAPS REALIZE THAT IF THE UNEMPLOYED EVER DO GET BACK TO WORK, THE SWEAT OF THEIR BROW AND THE SWEAT OF THEIR DESCENDANTS WILL GO TOWARD PAYING OFF THE INTEREST ON THE DEBT FOR MONEY THEY WERE GIVEN.

AS FOR TURNAGE’S ADMONITION THAT THE REPUBLICANS GET BACK TO WORK, HE MIGHT CONSIDER APPLYING THIS CHASTISEMENT TO PRESIDENT OBAMA AS WELL. THE PRESIDENT WENT TO SILLY EXTREMES TRYING TO SCARE AMERICA WITH THE SEQUESTER CONCEPT HE AND HIS TEAM ORIGINATED. HE FAILED. THE SEQUESTER IS COMING AND ITS EFFECTS WILL LIKELY BE MINIMAL.

THIS MGHT EXPLAIN WHY TURNAGE HAS PICKED UP THIS DEAD BALL AND IS TRYING TO RUN WITH IT.

NOW OBAMA REFUSES TO ACCEPT THE OFFERE OF FLEXIBILITY TO AVOID THE PROBLEMS TURNAGE IS WHIMPERING ABOUT.

STANDARD LEFT-WING HOOEY. POINTLESS, UNGROUNDED IN FACT AND DEVOID OF SENSE.

Pure idiocy on the part of the writer. Boehner has finally come around to the notion that Obama is playing him for a fool. Truth is, wherever he came from, he does not have American interest at heart, and “low information” voters, who used to sit on the sidelines where they should, are energized by “the free for all” with taxpayer money. It now can happen! Wow! We are lost as a first tier country, and I blame the uninformed populace. I suppose the Obama supporters think they will fare better under a Chinese dictatorship. I doubt the Chinese will be so generous Too bad we have lost our way

What a pos reporter. the reason we are in this mess is so that the country does not loose its credit rating. You can tax the wealthy 100% and still not be out of the woods. Right now the top 5% are getting taxed at a 30 year high. This is almost anyone making over 100k who would save an spend on the economy. The government is out of touch am thankful some one is willing to say no to idiocracy.

Mr . Turnage, you can’t be that stupid. That is not the governments money to give away . Are you just so soft that waiting for that TSA or not getting your welfare check on time doesn’t suit you.
It’s simple the Democratic Party has created debt the likes of Italy , Greece , Bulgaria and Ireland just to name a few can’t pay back. It will sink their people and their economy.
That’s what will happen in the great US.
We are sinking , we have turned the corner toward economic failure and idiots like you wrote inane articles proving your stupidity. It just shows you that just because someone gave you a computer they didn’t give you any intelligence.

Nice article moron…you don’t represent any of “The American People”…no, we don’t want it!!! Boehner is finally doing what the American People want…NO MORE SPENDING. These aren’t really even any cuts…they are cuts to the projected increases for the respective departments. Many Americans didn’t receive raises, many businesses didn’t receive mere profits…just because you work for the government, you should get a raise, or an increase in your yearly budget. Do more research before writing an article you know nothing about.
