‘Terminate’ Stuff With Schwarzenegger for Good Cause

One lucky person will get the chance to terminate stuff with Terminator Genisys star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, for a good cause, After-School All-Stars, raising much-needed money to support after-school programs with the aim of keeping children safe and helping them to succeed at school and at life. This is Schwarzenegger’s second year to participate in raising money for the After-School All-Stars program through the fund-raising platform, Omaze.

The first year that Schwarzenegger participated to help raise money for the After-School All-Stars, in 2014, some fortunate winners got to go along with him in his tank to joyfully crush whatever got in their path. A video of the devastation and fun that marked the memorable event is below!

This year, one lucky person who donates a minimum of $10 to After-School All-Stars through Omaze will get chosen to blow stuff up with Schwarzenegger. A friend of whoever wins can also take part in the action and fun! There are just seven days left to take part in this raffle.

Schwarzenegger talked a little about After-School All-Stars with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show on Tuesday, June 24, along with promoting his upcoming movie, Terminator Genisys, which opens in theaters on July 1. He and Fallon called up the winner of another contest for After-School All-Stars, surprising the person with the news that he would get to got to the premiere of Terminator Genisys.  Schwarzenegger

That particular contest is now over, but there is still time to enter the Blow Up Sh*t With Arnold contest/raffle. The winner, and a friend of his or her, will get flown to Los Angeles and get to blow stuff up with Schwarzenegger. The flights, the stays at a four-star hotel, and the transportation will all be paid for. The winner and a friend will meet up with Schwarzenegger at a secret location, and…things WILL get blown up! Also, someone will be on hand recording the winner and Arnold walking away from the fiery, sky high finale in a slo-mo shot.

People can, of course, donate more money, but the two people who founded Omaze wanted to both help raise money for various causes and also give people the chance to meet and have fun with a star for a relatively low cost. For $75, people will get a campaign gym towel. For donations of $2,500, Schwarzenegger will off his expert critique of a person’s workout form, via a video message. If money is not an object, a donation of a mere $50,000 will allow whoever gives this amount the opportunity to take part in Schwarzenegger’s 2016 Charity Poker Tournament as his home in LA!

After-School All-Stars, through after-school programs, helps enable teens to graduate high school and go to college and find careers so that thye can then give back to their communities. Through After-School All-Stars, 87,377 low-income, at-risk youth at 367 Title I schools in 15 major cities across the country — from New York to Hawaii — have been served and helped to achieve their educational and life goals.

There are many other cool celebs supporting causes through Omaze for people to take part in who do not like blowing stuff up. For instance, for the next 29 days, people can sign up and donate to have Modern Family’s Ty Burrell be the winner’s “Dad for a Day.” Money raised goes to benefit Kids in the Spotlight, Inc. Or, there are four days left to get the chance to ride shotgun with Dale Earnhardt Jr. at 160+ mph to support the Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

One of the other worthy causes and examples at the Omaze site is picture-perfect for fans of Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2. there are 14 days left to sign up and donate for the chance to Karaoke with Brittany Snow and the Bellas. Funds raised will go to support Love is Louder, A Project of the Jed Foundation.

For fans of Schwarzenegger, though, and the Terminator franchise, it is probable that most of them would rather just…terminate stuff with their favorite movie star, Big Arnold Schwarzenegger. For anyone interested in donating and entering, the link is below, along with two videos!
