Two men, Wade Robson, and James Safechuck alleged that Michael Jackson sexually abused them as children. They recalled in graphic detail the events in the “Leaving Neverland” documentary.
Madonna who attended the 1991 Oscars with Jackson, and allegedly tried to seduce him into sexual relations which he refused, running screaming from the room, stated that she did not watch the documentary.
In an interview with British Vogue, she said that she does not have the mentality of a lynch-mob and people are innocent until proven otherwise.
Madonna continued by saying “can anybody prove it?” When asked what would she consider being proof, she answered “I do not know. I have not seen the movie. I guess proof would be telling actual events that happened, but people could lie.”
Madonna also added that she guess she would find the time to see “Leaving Neverland” one day.
Barbra Streisand was criticized in March 2019 when she said the alleged abuse victims were thrilled to be with Jackson.
She later apologized by posting online a statement saying that she was sorry for any misunderstanding or pain she may have caused by the words about the victims of Michael Jackson.
Diana Ross also came to the defense of Michael Jackson.
