On May 1, 2019, pop princess 29-year-old Taylor Swift opened the Billboard Music Awards show at the MHM Grand Garden Arena with her smash #1 hit “ME!”
Swift appeared with Panic! at the Disco’s Brendon Urie. Her show featured dancers dressed in pastel-colored outfits, dancing with umbrellas and briefcases. Swift wore a colorful costume covered with sequence and fringe, alongside a marching band.
Despite the high energy stage show, fans beyond to notice that the marching band aspect to Swift’s performance looked strangely similar to Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella show, which by all means was historic.
Beyoncé’s Coachella performance is featured in the documentary “Homecoming” which is currently on Netflix. The highlight of her show is the marching band which appears with the artist.
Fans took to Twitter immediately to discuss what they had just viewed.
