Searching for Person of Interest in a Hit-and-Run Collision

WHAT: News conference

WHEN: Thursday, February 7, 2013

WHERE: 43rd Street and Wadsworth Avenue

WHO: Councilmember, Jan Perry, 9th District
Captain Ann Young, Commanding Officer, Central Traffic Division

WHY: To announce a person of interest that was involved in a hit-and-run who killed 31-year-old Sergio Rodriguez. On December 12, 2012, at around 8:05 a.m., Rodriguez was riding his bicycle westbound on 43rd Street from Wadsworth Avenue. He was struck by what witnesses described as a 90’s red pick-up truck driven by a male Hispanic 30 to 40 years of age.

There will be a photo of the person of interest at the news conference.

    Lies!! These people never ever showed up. The only ones who showed up were us (the victim’s family) and a man with a camera from a channel I didn’t recognize. The alleged “news conference” was a sham, Probably announced only to make the community feel at ease. Like anyone is really doing something about it…. What the hell is going on with our law enforcement!? It takes a very special person to be a police officer or any person of the law…. and its obvious that police today do not meet those special requirements!! Its nothing like on the First48 where the investigators actually give a sh**
