On May 19, 2013, LVMPD patrol officers were called to UMC Pediatrics to investigate serious injuries that a small child had sustained. Officers conducted a preliminary investigation at the hospital and determined that the circumstances and injuries were suspicious and the incident would require further investigation.
Patrol officers and LVMPD Crimes Against Youth and Family Detectives responded to the 2600 Block of South Tenaya to determine how the child was injured and interview any persons of interest in this case. The victim in this case had succumbed to his injuries on May 27, 2013.
Detectives are looking at persons of interest in this case but there have been no charges filed at this time. During the course of the investigation, Bransen Locks was contacted and subsequently arrested for unrelated charges.
This remains an open and active investigation.
Cause and manner of death as well as identity of the victim will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
