The ladies from the manor of the Kardashians are featured on their newest 2013 Christmas card. The card is missing some males from the clan, but further yet is the many items of odd symbolism for a Christmas card. The family has previously appeared in pictures that were considerably muted compared to the explosion of visual symbols in the 2013 card.
Kardashians Cards Through the Years
Nick Saglimbeni has been the Kardashians photographer for some years – the family switched it up and selected David LaChapelle for the picture this year. LaChapelle is famously tied with celebrities and works of surrealism. The young photographer worked under Andy Warhol and has developed a portfolio, splattered with controversy. LaChapelle is famously tied to the 1995 Diesel advertisement, where two sailors shared a kiss. His symbolic entrenched work has been compared to the likes of Salvador Dali and Cindy Sherman. The artist had pulled away from celebrity work for some years, citing differences with Madonna, Rihanna and Mira Sorvino.
It seems now the thrice admitted mental hospital patient is emerging from the shadows. He truly has left a splash not seen before on a Kardashians Christmas card. Kardashians 2013 Christmas Card Revealed
There are some faces missing from the 2013 Christmas card. Kanye West, North West and well all of the men, except Bruce Jenner and little Mason, declined to appear in the provocative holiday photo. As the photo was revealed, many wondered “where was the Christmas?” From a family who typically thrives on the unexpected, the concept of change is not a surprising one. The leverage of symbolism is; when one considers the previous photos from the Kardashians which appear highly conservative and classy.
In the 2013 Christmas card, LaChapelle wanted the ladies of the family to come to the surface by “mixing it up with pop culture.” Jenner originally was not happy with the decision of removing all adult males from the photo and Kris relented, allowing him to appear in the holiday spread. His position is certainly one that will make viewer’s eyebrows shoot up, once they see his location.

The picture is more awkwardly designed than previous photos. It’s greater landscape style makes it impossible to become hand-friendly, but allows for a wall to 
wall view of the spectacular oddities of symbolism displayed. Kim is seen standing on the stairs, one hand provocatively cradling her head, as a prone bot (perhaps?) is seen blocking the way down. A massive dollar bill is perched nearby, a testament of her fame?
Sisters Kendall and Kylie are seen in the back, standing before a photo against the back wall of a seeing-eye, pyramid – one notoriously tied to the Illuminati or masonic sect. Pictures of the Kardashian women gracing magazine covers litter the floor around them. Kourtney is possibly sitting on the car, bench seat with Mason slumped over oddly. Kris is sitting atop of a counter with a headdress on, proclaiming victory with her widespread arms. The oddest symbol yet? Bruce Jenner encased in a glass cylinder with Cashier emblazoned, staring at a dismembered Olympic gold medalist. Behind the glass case are African-American women holding their babies.
Wow.
There are a slew of additional symbolic oddities that include a neon purple, cursive Coming Soon, with a suspended curled baby? The televisions behind the case feature each of the Kardashian women. Strewn across the room are dismembered mannequins, glitter, crepe paper and numerous other unknowns. If the Kardashians were looking for something incredibly different, debatable and slightly tacky, it seems they found a winner.

I think it’s ugly. Just plain no Christmas and the ugliest, weirdest picture I have ever seen. Where are the kids? Poor taste, not surprising considering the family.

Yeah I did not understand why pay so much attention to the photographer’s view, who wouldn’t want their kidz on a so called Xmas pic, not that I like this one though!!

Weird. Definitely not a Christmas Photo at all.
Nope..dont like it…great picture but not x-mas picture. All the fuss about Kourtneys children, offcourse they neded to be in the shoot! Too bad Rob isnt in it but I understand why he didnt want to. Missing kanye, North and lamar but again…that I understand. Great picture, not a x mas picture so a no for me.
