Many gamers have been having problems with Battlefield 4 on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when it comes to online matches. Gamers are upset, after buying a new console and spending so much money problems as big as these one should not be happening. New information has become available about the problems people are having while playing online. So far DICE has delayed the patch to fix the issues because they haven’t figured out how to fix them yet.
Even though they have fixed some of the small problems they have the big problems to still deal with. On the plus side they have come out with downloadable content, China Rising. DICE has also announced that it will be the only downloadable content to come out until they fix all of the current problems with Battlefield 4. The China Rising DLC comes with four new maps, high tech military equipment, and new vehicles. All premium members get the expansion for free, that does of course include Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players. Below is a trailer showing more of what you can find within the expansion pack.
As part of an apology DICE is giving away an in-game kit that was previously only available to developers as well as a small patch that fixes a few of the issues such as game crashes occurring when opening the Options menu, creating decals, leaving vehicles, using specific gunner incendiary weapons, and transitioning from one mulitplater round to a new multiplayer round.The weapon that comes new to players is the M911 pistol scope.
That is a good start but the big issues still remain. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 might be experiencing slightly different bugs but everyone is having problems it seems, mostly with one hit kills. Hoping to shed some light on the matter, a technical scripter from DICE elaborated on the current problems via Reddit. “There were two issues. One was an actual OHK (you shoot someone, they die from one bullet). That one was fixed.”
Speaking under the username sliced_lime, the technical scripter also said, “The other is an issue with how deaths are communicated from server to client, which means you can sometimes appear to die instantly, but whoever shot you still actually shot the appropriate amount of bullets. The fix for this is a server-side fix, and we are looking at getting it out as soon as possible.” To clarify what all that means, here is a gif that explains step by step what is happening and what should be happening.
The entire situation is more sloppy than DICE would prefer but they are working towards fixing all current problems. Unfortunately this stands as a prime example as to why buying new consoles at launch may not be the best idea. Many gamers out there decided to wait for game bugs and console problems to be resolved before spending their hard earned money. However, Battlefield 4 has still received excellent ratings from critics.
Even though everyone now knows more about the situation and the problems present that doesn’t really help when the you continue to encounter the same problem over and over again. When Battlefield 4 finally gets this delayed patch to fix such problems PlayStation 4 fans as well as Xbox One fans can stop dropping excuses for why they are so bad.

Love this game but on top of it just lagging,and at times just being drop from servers.I have a new probelm now there are times when my Xbox one says that game taking to long to load and then kicks me back to my Xbox one home screen.
I am enjoying the game immensely on Xbox One… when it works right. It is a great game… when it works right. Some nights I can play for hours without a crash. Other nights, it will bomb four or five times. The one hit kill bug van be frustrating sometimes. Still though, I will wait it out. I have faith DICE will fix the issues. After playing COD for years, I now can not stand the franchise. BF3 won me over. BF4 will get fixed. EA just rushed an incomplete product to get the jump on Ghosts. Probably against DICE’s will.
Just making sure I’m not the only one with these problems. I have faith in battlefield. I have to because I’m so bored of cod. So please fix this as soon as you can. And is China rising only available for premium members only?

Releasing an unfinished game and taking peoples hard earned money and then taking weeks to sort things out ABSOLUTE DISGRACE . They should be ashamed of there selfs and to rub our noses init they give us a poxy sight for a pistol for a game we cant even play and they think that makes it all ok JOKE ,,,,,
Remember it isn’t Dice’s fault blame EA cause they are just concerned with money they give DICE a date to finish it buy so they have to put out whatever they have by then cause EA is money hungry company thats why they were voted the worst company in the US in 2012 I believe.

i will withhold my premium purchase until they fix the game the crashes to home are too frequent to tolerate. i experience this with no other game on xbox one.
Totally agree who cares about doc if the game wont work ive bought 3 xbox ones for the family and 3 copies of the game about1300 quids worth its a joke
It’s a joke keep getting kicked on just about every game screen goes black or just kicks me back to the Xbox one screen this has been going on for two weeks the first week I understand new console new servers but the second week is a joke can’t even find servers half the time and EA said were working on it what a week ago how long does it take.Someone needs to be sacked and fix this crap not in a week’s time not in 3 days or one day FIX THIS NOW!!!
