JK Rowling Creating Trilogy for New Harry Potter World

JK Rowling Harry Potter

Fans of the Harry Potter series can rejoice! JK Rowling is creating a new trilogy from the 54 page textbook she wrote for the Harry Potter world, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”  Warner Brothers are planning for three mega movies for the Harry Potter spinoff. Rowling wrote the short book to be used in the Hogwarts School in 2001, between publishing “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The setting for “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is not set in Hogwarts, but in New York about seven decades before Harry Potter was born. These books will also follow a new character, Newt Scamander, who is a magizoologist. Rowling explains that even though the book is set before Harry Potter’s world at Hogwarts, it is not a prequel; it is more of an extension of the wizarding world.

At first, JK Rowling was not interested in creating a new Harry Potter like world trilogy for “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and she had to be persuaded by Warner Brothers CEO Kevin Tsujihara. Rowling says that after a dinner between the two, she went home and took out the rough draft of the book. She had originally only intended on leaving it for her children as a piece of memorabilia, but she took another look at it and immediately started rewriting it.

Even though the trilogy “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is an extension of the wizarding world JK Rowling has already created, fans should not expect to see Harry Potter or any of the other characters in it. Daniel Radcliffe has already confirmed that he will not be appearing in the film and will not be involved with the process. This book was a fictional textbook that Harry, Ron, and Hermione used, but it would not make sense for them to be referenced in the film. Rowling upset fans recently by stating that Harry and Hermione should have been married, not Hermione and Ron, but the news of this new film about the wizarding world should more than make up for that.

JK Rowling has experienced mega success not only with the Harry Potter series, but also with her other recently published books, Casual Vacancy and The Cuckoo’s Calling. She is also said to be writing another book, The Silkworm, which she will release under the pen name Robert Galbraith. Loyal fans are no doubt looking forward to the new movies and books and are grateful Rowling did not listen to one opinion by another author Lynn Shepherd, who called out Rowling in an article begging her to stop writing an give other authors a chance.

JK Rowling has created other small books with were referenced in Harry Potter, such as “The Tales of The Beedle and Bard,” however,  “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is the first book that will be made into a new Harry Potter world like trilogy. Fans can only hope that other books JK Rowling has written will end up on-screen as well.

I have always thought a book on life and up bringing of Tom Riddle would be extremely interesting. All the things that occurred in the orphanage, then his years at Hogwarts, the years after Hogwarts before it was known he was a dark wizard. Most do not know that Tom once applied to be the defense against the dark arts professor at Hogwarts to only be denied. Then his journeys while creating the horcruxs and his reign of terror before the night he lost his powers when attacking the potters.

Hey, following up everyone’s thoughts, I came up with the idea of a sole series “The Order of Phoenix”. A series where one can see how it put everyone together, how they were bonded, Peter Petigrew’s deception & the deaths of the members. What say about this?

I really with she would make a series about The Marauders!! Imagine how funny a book with Sirius , James, and Lupin as kids would be! You could watch The three become best friends and eventually Peter join the gang., James fall in love with lily, understand why snaps hates Harry’s dad so much and see what it would be like to grow up at a time the most powerful and cruel wizard and history is coming to power. Does anyone else just melt at the thought of this? PLEASE JK ROWLING

I really think J.K Rowling should consider re-writing the Harry Potter series from Dumbledore’s perspective.

Start the series with Dumbledore’s childhood/ friendship with Grindewald, the death of his sister, as well as background on his relationship with his brother Aberforth. A perfect end to this book would be the epic battle where Dumbledore defeats Grindewald (his once best friend) and in turn rises to power.

I hope I’m not alone in wondering where Dumbledore is on all of his horcrux missions that take him away from Hogwarts at the most inopportune moments; what better way to delve more into the wizarding world than through the eyes of the wisest (and definitely oldest) wizard of Harry’s time? Dumbledore’s age would also mean we could potentially see the likes of Hagrid, James and Lilly, Severus, and many more characters we love but don’t know as well as The primary Potter characters.

Call the series “Dumbledore’s Army” and be done with it
    JUST DO IT JK

Lauren, I was thinking the exact same thing. It would be a great idea and everyone would love to learn about James/lily and everyone else. It would still have the older characters but she could show what happened to tom and why he turned bad because they never really went into depth. Dumbledore and Snape could be in it too. It’s perfect.
