While many have to keep to a budget when taking a vacation, others have the pleasure of vacationing in style in some of the most luxurious accommodation in the world. It is always good to dream, however, and below are some amazing ideas for a luxurious vacation and one never knows, the right lottery numbers might just come up one of these days.
Renting an entire private island for that trip away with a difference is a definite possibility. For anything ranging from about $2,500 up to more than $20,000 per night, it is possible to rent a private island in many different and exotic parts of the world. Imagine the Seychelles Islands, the Maldives, the South Pacific, Caribbean or even in Europe – staying in sheer and completely unadulterated luxury with every feature imaginable.
If an island sounds a bit over the top, how about a mere castle or manor house in Ireland or Great Britain, or a luxury chateau in France for adding that touch of history to a luxurious night’s sleep.
There are loads of properties available in Ireland sleeping anything from 6 to 40 people, perfect for taking the entire (and extended, for that matter) family away for a break.
France also has its fair share of chateaus to sleep groups of up to 30, sometimes more. Rates per night vary from around $2,000 to $3,000 per night for the whole group.
Why not pop up to Switzerland and while there, rent the entire Gstaad Palace up on the mountainside.
For a mere $55,000 per night, you will get a total package, including breakfast. The Palace has 100 rooms available and five restaurants in total. With this luxurious accommodation most people could definitely vacation in style no matter where in the world they are traveling from.
If the mention of all this sheer financial over-indulgence is a tad overwhelming, there are also those remarkable resorts in tropical climes, where it is possible to rent a room, bungalow or even a villa, jutting out and over that clear and beautiful turquoise ocean. Whether in Tahiti, Bora Bora, the Maldives or in the Caribbean, there are approximately 125 over-water resorts to choose from worldwide and starting at just under $500 per night, these are a lot more affordable too.
It is not just the typical places like the Caribbean or the South Pacific that offer all this temptation. While many people might immediately think “G’day Bruce,” or kangaroos when referring to Australia, that vast land offers some pretty amazing accommodation too, with everything from luxurious beach house holidays to boutique heritage retreats in all the most popular areas.
With the Australian dollar being just slightly under the value of the U.S. dollar, the rates can be pretty affordable too. As an example, head down to the Gold Coast of Queensland and stay at the beautiful Peppers Ruffles Lodge and Spa in sheer and unadulterated luxury for only between $370 – $620 per night.
A video is included below to get a feel for the private island life. While the majority of people head off on modest vacations, it is great to imagine that they could vacation in style in the most luxurious accommodation in the world, although in most cases it is, regrettably, just a dream.
