Should We Fear Our Government

George Washington, the father of our great country, once said, “government is not reason, it is not
eloquent, it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” Oh how right he was.

Think about what is going on in Washington DC. The last four years have been a testament to the validity of his words spoken more than two hundred years ago. True, the United States was in its infancy when he was around, but unlike our current president, he did faithfully adhere to the Constitution that served the people so well for more than two centuries.

Do you believe the government in Washington is really concerned about you or your family? If you do, I have a bridge in Brooklyn you can have real cheap. For almost four years we have witnessed our federal
government become a tyrant to the people it has sworn to serve. American citizens have felt the heavy
hand of an oppressive and overbearing government. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), time
and time again, validates Washington’s words.

For years, the EPA has zealously used its force to intimidate and browbeat American citizens it deems violate its rules and regulations. Recently, a couple in Idaho stood their ground, fought the aggressive EPA all the way to the Supreme Court, and won. Now we have learned that under the Obama administration, bureaucrats from the EPA have brazenly bragged how they go after oil companies, “crucifying” them to
strike fear and intimidate others in that industry.

Barack Obama’s hatred for those that produce the country’s energy is nakedly exposed. They destroy our energy providers, which provide tens of thousands of high paying jobs in favor of so-called green jobs that employ only a fraction of what the petroleum and coal industries employ.

The question is, does Obama know what he’s doing? His unabashed zeal to destroy a major contributor to the U.S. economy makes one wonder, is this just a foolhardy, liberal, pie-in-thesky move, or is it a calculated effort to weaken us to a socialist European status? Or, worse yet, a calculated effort to reduce our great country to a third world country, perhaps like Cuba?

Makes you wonder doesn’t it? Let’s face it, he is definitely not up to the job. Before he became a
politician, he was a law professor. He taught the U.S. Constitution! Huh? You could have fooled
me when he willingly does things to undermine, and in some cases trample on, our Constitution, as
though it’s a rag beneath his feet! His decision to impose stringent Transportation Safety Authority
(TSA) regulations in 2010 at the nation’s commercial airports, to catch and thwart terrorists from boarding civilian aircraft, sounded good on paper, but, like his other policies, it created more harm
to the law-abiding citizen than to any terrorist.

A case in point: the recent groping of a four year-old girl. The incident was caught on tape for the world to see. The child was traumatized. The parents were angered. Anywhere else, such action by the TSA would have resulted in the arrest of the perpetrator. But not Obama’s brave agent. He was only following procedures!

He was simply following TSA procedures. The excuse has a familiar ring to it doesn’t it? You know… like those other guys with fancy uniforms. They echoed a similar line: “I was only following orders.”

It seems administration had gotten what it wanted: virtually no protest from the public who witnessed the abuse of the tot by the government goon, oops, I mean agent. Once again, Washington’s words ring true, “government is not reason, it is not eloquent it is force.” The TSA agent proved that.

The in-your-face, screw-the-American-people swindlers of the (GSA) General Service Administration, are more proof of your government gone wild… The testimony of GSA honcho Jeff Neely at a Congressional hearing on the the spending abuses of government officials at tax payer expense, while most Americans have to deal with the out-of-control food and fuel prices, was too much to stomach.

Beware: “Ignorance is not bliss, it is oblivion.” The administration seems to relish keeping the populous ignorant as to what is really going on. The current White House is what George Washington meant when he said that “government is force.” Can anyone dispute the veracity of his words?
