Max Page, the 7-year-old boy who dressed as Darth Vader in the adorable 2011 Super Bowl Volkswagon commercial had to undergo open-heart surgery to help his congenital heart defect. Max Page, the young boy, has a congenital heart defect.
The surgery was a success. It replaced his pulmonary valve and repaired a hole in his heart. The process lasted two hours, and the valve will have to be replaced in 15 years.
Page now appears in “The Young and the Restless,” a CBS soage opera. Page has also been an ambassador for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles to raise money for other children with heart defects.
