Burt Reynolds in Intensive Care
It was revealed that Friday, actor Burt Reynolds was taken to a Florida hospital with flu-like symptoms. Shortly after his arrival, he was placed in intensive care. He asked his representatives to not reveal the name of the hospital and to ensure his privacy.
Erik Kritzer, speaking for Reynolds, said “He is doing better.” As soon as he is stabilized, he will be placed in a regular room.
The 76-year-old actor became famous as the first centerfold for “Playgirl” magazine. He went on to star in Cannonball Run, and his most famous role as the “Bandit,” in Smokey and the Bandit. He also starred in the original Longest Yard, and in a supporting role to Adam Sandler in the later version.
