Bloomberg buys Super Bowl CommercialI’m Beginning to Believe Something Might Finally Get Done
The mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, has organized mayors from the Eastern United States to form a group called “Mayors Against Illegal Guns”.  They will have a commercial aired in the second half of the Super Bowl game.

It is reported that Bloomberg paid the six figure cost for the 30 second advertisement.  In it will be a recorded statement made by Wayne La Pierre in 1999 when he called for mandatory background checks, a position the NRA now disavows.

Continuous, almost daily involvement by the famous and influential across the United States may finally result in a change in the gun laws, a change too long in coming.  Common sense may be returning to our country.
