Las Vegas: Officer involved in February 2, 2013 identified

The officer involved in the February 6, 2013, officer-involved shooting which occurred near the 2600 block of South. Buffalo Street has been identified as Officer James Larosa
Officer Larosa is 29 years of age and has been employed with the LVMPD since August, 2008. He is currently assigned to the LVMPD Patrol Division, Northwest Area Command.
Officer Larosa has been placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of areview of this event.
