I Met My Wife At Work, It Was Safe
DANGER! Internet Dating Can Be Hazardous To Your Health
If you’re Christian, and single, you may have been tempted to respond to the television ads for “Christianmingle.com.” Like other on-line dating services, it claims to be safe.
Sean Banks, 37, of La Mesa, California is under arrest for raping a woman he met through the website. Police fear there could be more. Authorities say he went by the user name “Raritiy”.
Banks used three additional online identities — “Rylan,” “Rylan Butterwood” and “Rylan Harbough” — and police said they are concerned “there may have been more cases with other women.”
Christianmingle says it has a safety section advising subscribers to beware of anyone who will not accept “no” as a response. They are cooperating fully with the police.
Banks was arrested on February 11th, and is charged with two cases of rape and residential burglary.
He posted a 500,000 dollar bail and is free on his own recognizance.
