ATLANTA,GA- This morning at about 0755 hours Officers Carswell and Forte responded to a fight with weapons call at Whitehall and Glenn on a school bus. When officers arrived on scene, it was discovered that there some kids involved in a fight on the bus and that one of the participants called their mother to come to the scene. Witnesses said that a woman came to the scene in a red Grand Prix with a male who pointed a gun at the occupants of the bus.
School Detectives Units arrived and got statements from the witnesses and were advised of the tag number to the red Grand Prix which was registered to a house located at 710 Garibaldi. Units relocated to that address and met with the car’s owner. She advised Officer Riggins (School Detectives) that her girls were being harassed by some girls with ties to the 30 Deep Gang.
She was asked if she or her boyfriend had a gun when they went to Whitehall and Glenn. She said that they did not have a gun. When asked what her boyfriend’s name was she was reluctant to give his information but eventually gave the name. It was later discovered that that male left out the rear of the residence, possibly prior to the officer’s arrival. The female was asked again about the gun, she stated that her boyfriend had a TV remote and was pretending as if he had a gun to scare the intended targets who ran off. Officer Riggins gathered all the necessary information and advised he would be getting warrants for the subject.
