The national police arrested a 16-year-old girl after confessing of killing her newborn baby boy by stabbing him and throwing his body in a water tank to hide the crime.
The Agency did not offer the name of the young girl for being a minor. The crime happen in El Café de Herrara, west of the capital in.
The young woman confessed to the crime while she was cared for heavy bleeding at the hospital Marcelino Vélez Santana. According to authorities the teenager’s mother was unaware of her daughter pregnancy.
“The minor, while she was interviewed by police personnel and a representative of the child services, confess to hide the pregnancy from her mother and family members.”
“She also confess to the crime of killing her newborn that after giving birth. She fear not to be able to provide for him, so she decided to stab him and take his life, throwing the corpse in a water tank.”
