The City of Miami Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place at 142 Northeast 26 Street, which has left one man dead as a result of a confrontation between several adult males.

According to detectives, today, at approximately 3:30 PM, a group of males were heard arguing. Shortly after, the sound of gunfire followed. One man in his 20s was shot. He died on the scene.

The fatally wounded man’s name is being withheld until the next of kin is notified. The shooter remained on the scene and was immediately detained and is currently being questioned by homicide detectives. He has not been arrested.

The investigation is still open and continues.
