Scream Pilot Ordered by MTV, Franchise may become a one-hour Series Regular
The popular Scream franchise may soon be coming to the small screen as a one-hour series; MTV

has ordered a pilot episode. Dimension Films is currently negotiating with the films’ original director, Wes Craven, to direct the pilot.
Fans can expect to see their favorite masked serial killer begin stalking victims as early as summer 2014, according to MTV.
The Scream movies a blend of satire and horror centered on a serial killer in an iconic mask who
stalks his victims. The original movie first came out in 1996 with sequels in 1997, 2000, and 2011. They were wildly popular, grossing more than $600 million worldwide.
“Neve Campbell, Courteney (sic) Cox and David Arquette were the main stars of
the cast over the course of the four films.” (reuters.com)
