Star Wars “Admiral Motti”, Character Actor Richard LeParmentier, Dead at age 66
Character actor Ricard LeParmentier, best known for his role as Admiral Motti in Star Wars, has died at the age of 66. The thespian passed away while visiting his children in Austin, Texas, of unknown causes, according to his publicist.
LeParmentier was living in Bath, England where he worked as a screenwriter for British television.
While he will be most remembered for his role opposite the evil Darth Vadar in which he was famously choked, LePamentier appeared in more than 50 films and television programs. He was in

Superman (1980), Octopussy (1983), and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) among many others.
“In a statement from his three children, they said he ‘is one with the Force’ and thanked their father’s fans and friends for their longtime support.
‘Every time we find someone’s lack of faith disturbing, we’ll think of him.’” (usatoday.com)
