Atlanta: Juvenile arrested while attempting to robbed a pedestrian

On 5/20/13, approximately 10:00 p. m., Zone 3 units were patrolling around Turner Field after the Braves game. Officers noticed a commotion at Formwalt Park located at the intersection of Formwalt and Ralph David Abernathy. Upon closer observation, it was suspected that a pedestrian robbery was currently taking place. Officers approached the location and the suspect fled on foot. After a brief foot chase, the suspect was taken into custody. The victims positively identified the suspect, which is a juvenile, as the male that was attempting to rob them by forcibly taking their cell phones. The juvenile was transported to the METRO Youth Detention Center.
