“Chief on the Beat”
Crime Prevention Safety and Health Fair
South Central Division
The Dallas Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs along with the South Central Patrol Division will host a “Chief on the Beat” Health and Safety Fair. This event will take place at South Oak Cliff High School, 3601 S. Marsalis Ave., Dallas, Texas on Saturday, May 18, 2013, from 10am to 2pm.
The Chief on the Beat event provides the Police Department an opportunity to engage the local community in a non-enforcement setting. This event also allows for the integration of various city services and community partners in building a stronger relationship.
Several vendors will be out to provide the public with free health services such as diabetes testing, blood pressure checks, eye examinations, and much more. We are encouraging everyone to come out and participate in this community partnership.
For additional information, please call the Office of Community Affairs at (214) 671-4045. Primary contact for interviews is Sgt. Felicia W. Thornton, #4973, or Mr. Shawn Williams, Manager of the Office of Community Affairs.
