According to the Associated Press, a commercial building has recently collapsed in Sao Paulo, Brazil’s biggest city, crushing six innocent people.
Thus far, six people are believed to have been mortally wounded during the incident. 11 others have been extricated from the debris and ruins, whilst an unknown number of people remain trapped underneath.
Emergency services have arrived on scene and are currently involved in ongoing rescue efforts. However, firefighters are unable to speculate as to the reason for the building’s collapse. Dogs have been brought to the site to aid in the search for any potential, remaining survivors.
AP maintains that the building was either under construction, or was in the process of being repaired.
Marcos Palumbo, a fireman on scene, informed Globo TV that ongoing work was slow and delicate, on account of the people trapped beneath the rubble.
