Dallas: Crime Stoppers Tip Led to Arrest Matthew Rhodes

A CrimeStoppers tip led to the identity and arrest of Matthew Rhodes a Black male 4/13/1992. The arrestee shot and killed Craig Watson, an innocent bystander who waiting for the bus on June 29, 2013 in the 9500 block of Bruton Road. Homicide detectives seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a person of interest released a still photo of the arrestee on July 23, 2013. Detectives were able to obtain the arrestee’s nickname from witnesses at the offense and the crimestoppers tip lead to the full name of the arrestee. The case numbers for the offense is 164803-A and 164775-A. The arrestee is currently in Lew Sterrett. The department would like to thank all those involved who helped with the identification and arrest.
