Los Angeles: Man Attempts to Kidnap 11-Year-Old GirlLos Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Area Detectives are asking for the public’s help in their investigation of an attempt kidnapping in the Wilmington area.

On Wednesday, August 7, 2013, around 9 a.m., the male suspect followed the victim from the area of Avalon Boulevard and L Street. When the victim reached the 1100 block of Marine Avenue, the suspect surprised the victim from behind and attempted to forcibly Los Angeles: Man Attempts to Kidnap 11-Year-Old Girlplace the eleven year old victim into the trunk of his vehicle. The victim fought back, broke free and the suspect fled the area.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, about 50 years old with gray/black hair. He stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. The suspect is believed to be driving a possible late 80’s to early 90’s 2-door white import vehicle. The vehicle has black bumpers, a faded hood and possible damage to the passenger side fender.
