Raven-Symoné has apparently ‘come out of the closet.’ On Friday, the 27-year-old actress and singer tweeted; “I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you.”
Raven-Symoné, who began her career as Olivia on the ‘Cosby Show,’ has been successful as an actress and singer. She began in 1989, performing with Bill Cosby in ‘Ghost Dad.’ Although she was only three year’s old, Cosby was enamored with her, and put her in the Cosby Show as his step-grandaughter. She went on to play parts in ‘Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper,’ and ‘That’s So Raven.’
Her movie credits include ‘Dr. Doolittle,’ and ‘Dr. Doolittle 2,’ and ‘College Road Trip.’ She has also had a successful singing career.
In 2012, Raven-Symoné was ranked as number 8 on VH1’s “100 Greatest Kid Stars Of All Time.” She is also named on the “10 Richest Black Actresses Under 40” list.
She has always defended her right to privacy. This marks the first time she has hinted at her sexual orientation.
Earlier in the year when it was rumored that she was living with ‘America’s Next Top Model Contestant, AzMarie Livingston, she was quoted as saying: “I’m living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest. I’m not one, in my 25-year career to disclose who I’m dating. And I shall not start now.”
She added: “My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m dating to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life.”
It appears that Raven-Symoné has come out. We should all be proud of her, and respect her privacy.
