On Monday, Carver High School in Atlanta, GA, was put on lockdown early in the afternoon. Local station WSB-TV reports that a student was attacked on the school field by pit bulldogs.
The station says the story is still developing.
UPDATE: According to Atlanta public school officials, the problem has been dealt with by animal control. While a lockdown has since been lifted, the school district confirms that a student was indeed bitten by a loose dog.
