Bills quarterback Thad Lewis was hit on the opening play and fumbled to ball to the Saints.

New Orleans recovered three turnovers against the Bills and got a touchdown on one of them.

Thad Lewis did not miss a play but did fumble again and threw an interception.

The Dallas Cowboys recovered four turnovers against the Detroit Lions to lead 27-24. Dez Bryant ran for a touchdown after a catch and defensive lineman Sean Lee captured one of the turnovers. Dan Baily kicked a third field goal to increase the lead 30-24.  Stafford took over and walked the Lions down for the touchdown by jumping up over the line to get the ball over the plane at the goal line to tie the game at 30. The review upheld the play with 12 seconds remaining in the game.  The extra point was good to take the lead 31-30 Lions. With seven seconds to go, Romo took the field at the 33 yard line. The game ended on a trick play. The Lions go to 5-3, the Cowboys fall to 4-4.

After a slow start in Miami, the New England Patriots turned things around in the second half to win 27-17. Brandon Gibson may be out for the season with a knee injury.

In London, the 49ers defeat the Jaquars 42-10 at Wembley Stadium.  San Francisco led the game 28-3 at the half, their largest lead ever under coach Jim Harbaugh.

The New York Giants win their second in a row against the Philadelphia Eagles 15-7. Eagles quarterback Michael Vick aggravated his hamstring in the first quarter, leaving rookie Matt Barkley to take over.

Kansas City beat the Cleveland Browns 23-17. Running back Jamaal Charles left the game with a knee injury.  This was quarterback Jason Campbell’s first start with the Browns.

Now: Peyton Manning and the Broncos have scored a touchdown against the Washington Redskins on their first possession. Manning had a high sprain on both ankles from the game against the Jaguars last week, but does not appear to be bothered by the injury.
