The colorful vessel that holds the free-spirited inner being of Nicki Minaj is constantly a work in progress. Her mind and body always seem to be in competition as she transforms herself almost on a daily basis. Is Nicki Minaj a miracle or mirage? She appears to be a little of each, and being born with the surname of Maraj could have been an omen. She tends to bend light rays of distraction upon herself and reflects images she may or may not be. She also intrigues her audiences and fans with almost divine intervention of soul and sentimentality. Nicki is both a miracle and a mirage, a true combination of forces she has developed within her being.
The popular rapper, songwriter and actress from Trinidad, grew up in Jamaica and New York amongst empty parental guidance and structure. She resorted to forming her own characters and imagination to soothe her aching soul. Her mother was a gospel singer along the way, despite her own troubles and issues with Nicki’s father. The musical influence took hold as Nicki grew up and formed her own way of living. As Nicki, once Onika, spread her wings, she not only changed her name, but the way she looked.
Nicki Minaj came into her own as her musical career as a rapper spawned success and recognition. As she traveled and explored the world beyond her upbringing, she gained the opportunity to change into the person she wanted to be. Even as Nicki denies rumors of plastic surgery, the evidence is in with a multitude of photos. Her wild outfits and wigs do not erase the transformed body that has been documented over time. It appears as if she has a straighter nose, a larger derriere and humongous breasts. It’s amazing how much can be done with a bit of cash these days.
The rapper’s cash flow seems to be in good health as her album, such as Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded has done well and her other ventures have provided nice paychecks. Nicki Minaj’s eerie, sinister style is met with a gentle, softness from deep within her person. Her personal struggles have played into the many characters she has created for herself and others. Her battles have either been resolved through a miracle or some kind of mirage beyond the turmoil of her darkest moments.
Nicki Minaj is a complex individual. She is not to be defined, as she is constantly evolving and changing according to weather patterns and world news. Her axis has been based on herself and should not be confused with the powers that be. Her wigs, jewelry and crazy outfits are all just temporary expressions of a person that is still learning and exploring.
Nicki has made a lot of money with her antics in show business, but she has also given back to the world in the amount of huge cash donations. Publicity stunts and fights aside, Nicki is a soul that makes us ponder life and its meaning. She is successful in evoking emotion and feeling. Her colorful personality is a miracle in dealing with life. Her fantasies are mirages we all wish to enjoy. The mystery of the Minaj mirage is worth the ride.

Good article. Besides the nose plastic surgery, contouring can do wonders. Whether people understand her music it’s up to each person, music is subjective. Some hate her, and many love her. And it’s ignorant to judge someone whole being by just one song, people are obviously to narrow minded and lazy. Good and interesting article Fitzgibbon

Why would any decent human being/parent allow their daughter(s) to listen to these slanderous, mediocre, negative, hate-mongering messages?
Don’t they know this kind of thing teaches children how to be mean to other people?
They’re making bullies.
And what kind of message is this poor excuse for a “rapper” sending to the 10-12-year-old’s who listen to her? (“Call the people you don’t like, a ‘stupid hoe.’ That’s what your idols do, and it’s okay to act this way, and to say these things to people.”)
Why so negative? People like Nicki Minaj are exactly what’s wrong with this world; teaching kinds to harbor negativity and anger toward others, instead of love and acceptence for others.
