
The National Weather Service reported this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time that the city of Atlanta, Georgia had set a new record for maximum daily snowfall.
The amount of snowfall was recorded as 0.3 inches at 1:00 p.m. at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This new measurement exceeds the old record of “trace” which was set in 2005.
The agency reports that more snow is expected over the course of the afternoon and evening.
