The Canadian pop star Justin Bieber is in trouble again. Bieber was arrested around 4:00 A.M. Thursday morning in Miami Beach, FL. for DUI and drag racing. A Miami police detective stated Beiber’s DUI charge will be a combination of narcotics and alcohol. Police also said Bieber was driving a yellow Lamborghini and was racing in an urban neighborhood. Bieber’s entourage blocked side streets to create a drag strip for him. The singer is expected to be booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail. Police have also confirmed Bieber’s friend Khalil was the other racer and he is also charged for DUI. Bieber was reportedly visiting a nightclub on Lincoln Road. Over the past few days Bieber has been seen around town going to strip clubs and skate shops. Sources say hours before Bieber’s arrest his advisers encouraged him to go to rehab for awhile to treat his alleged drug addiction, but he would not listen. Also his ego is out of control and his friends are known troublemakers.
According to a source from USA Today the first drunken driving offense has no minimum sentence and a maximum of six months, a fine of $250 to $500 and 50 hours of community service. Also the first drag racing offense results in a sentence of up to six months, a fine of $500 to $1,000 and one year license suspension. Police in Opa-locka, FL. are also investigating an unauthorized police escort during Bieber’s Monday night partying. Assistant City Manager David Chiverton stated he knows it was an unauthorized detail. Law officials are determining where the authorization to escort Bieber came from, where was he escorted and how many officers were involved.
This is not the first time Bieber has been in trouble. He had a run-in with the law again on Tuesday, January 14 when his California mansion was raided in connection to an egg-throwing incident. Reportedly he caused $20,000 worth of damage to his neighbor’s home. The raid led to Bieber’s friend Lil Za being arrested for possession of ecstasy and unprescribed Xanax. Last week a spokesperson from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department told reporters that Bieber has not been acquitted nor has he been arrested for the ongoing egg-throwing investigation.
Deputies are investigating reports from Bieber’s neighbors of the teenage heartthrob racing his expensive cars in the exclusive community of Calabasas, CA. One neighbor accused Bieber of spitting in his face during a confrontation last March. Police have responded to complaints from neighbors of Bieber’s loud parties. The L.A. County district attorney’s office could not prove the spitting or speeding cases in court, so it dismissed to prosecute. A misdemeanor battery complaint was also dropped by prosecutors when Bieber allegedly attacked his photographer in the parking lot of a shopping center in California after he had taken pictures of Bieber and his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez in May 2012.
Despite Bieber being in trouble again with the law and in light of the egg-throwing incident, his mom Pattie Mallette encouraged his fans to pray for her son during these difficult times. Mallette also stated she pray for her son everyday.
