It is becoming somewhat of a joke that Justin Bieber continues to hit the top news, getting to be more “important” to the media by the year, decade, or yeah, even century.
Anyone with a little sense has pretty much had enough of this silly, naughty little boy, with his endless little stunts. OK, he can sing, but nothing greater than any other little boy in a little boy band.
Unfortunately, however, every little thing this immature boy does hits headlines immediately. Between him and Miley Cyrus, they have probably beaten records for trending at the top on Google News. And yes, I admit, we citizen and online journalists are a lot to blame for his “fame” by writing about him. Damn, and here we go yet again.
Despite this, the news that a so-called professional host on MSNBC actually interrupted a serious interview with a former congressman about the NSA to report the Bieb’s latest Breaking News is getting way beyond what is acceptable.
The host was Andrea Mitchell and the show was Andrea Mitchell Reports, which aired on January 22, 2014. Mitchell was interviewing former Congresswoman, Jane Harman (D-CA) about whether the NSA should be stopped from its endless snooping on everyone’s phone calls.
As Harman tried her best to respond to the questions, she is rudely interrupted by Mitchell, who announces that some important Breaking News has come in from Miami. Yes, Justin Bieber got arrested – big deal. Put him away for life, most adults are thinking as they hear that news. If you can bear to watch it, here is a video excerpt:
For anyone who can’t bear to watch the video, this is roughly what was said:
“Congresswoman, let me interrupt you for just a moment. We’ve got some breaking news out of Miami. Stand by if you will.”
Continuing with:
“Right now, in Miami, Justin Bieber has been arrested on a number of charges … the judge is reading the charges … including resisting arrest and driving under the influence, he’s appearing now before the judge… “
Etc, etc, et al, bla-de-bla.
Really, has it come to the stage where important news reporting and interviews must be interrupted by the antics of a drunken silly teenager?
Have you seen his mug shots?
Even worse, the latest news is that the Biebs is doing all this stuff just to impress his dear old dad.
Imagine that. How many actual, real and normal dads would be impressed by this do you think? This came from the mouth of Cory Bernier, who apparently Bieber refers to as his “uncle” and who has known him since he was small. Bernier says that Bieber is desperate to gain his father, Jeremy’s, approval.
Bernier apparently told the Daily Mail: “Justin has a very good heart but his judgement is being clouded by drugs and alcohol and a lot of it is to impress his dad.”
Bernier did add that the family is concerned about Justin, but “they don’t believe he has a problem.” (No, dear man, he has several). He then referred to the Biebs walking around with no shirt on and how that is just ego and “that’s his dad’s ego too.”
OK, so maybe Bieber is actually just like dear old dad, maybe there is some sense to this after all.
Now there are several rumors doing the rounds, that he is doing steroids, a fat burning drug called Clenbuterol, smoking weed, drinking heavily, and that all this is making him act “erratic.” According to dear old dad Jeremy Bieber on Twitter, this rather cryptic tweet might explain something?
“I can protect my kids, but I can’t protect them from you and your lies. Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife.”
Maybe the old apple doesn’t fall that far from the tree after all. Sources are saying that he totally ignores his mother so no hope there. Hence we will see a continuation of Justin Bieber being the news of the year, decade and century. Let us sincerely hope not.
