Justin Timberlake left fans disappointed when he postponed a concert for “health reasons.” The actual nature of the health reasons are still a mystery, but the good news is that fans will still get to see him in action. Instead of last night, the concert will now be tomorrow.
The former N’Sync member took to Twitter to express his sincere apologies and inform those looking forward to the event of the rescheduling. He left it quite last minute, too, choosing to tweet the news on Wednesday afternoon. There has been no detailed explanation for the short postponement, but these so-called health reasons seem quite short-lived. He will still perform at Madison Square Garden, tonight.
The performance is one of many for his 20/20 Experience World Tour, which is going to last the next six months, and has already been on the go since November 2013. He will visit parts of Europe, Asia and the Middle East, back to North America and then finish in Iceland in August; the Iceland leg of his tour represents the first time Timberlake has performed in the country. Let’s hope that there are no other mishaps along the way.
Most of the tour is sold out, especially in the United States and United Kingdom. Parts of Europe, Asia and the Middle East still have some dates available. Some of the July and August dates in the United States are also available, including Las Vegas, Detroit and Kansas.
Timberlake did take straight to Twitter to announce that he would need to postpone his sold out New York concert for “health reasons.” Shortly after, he used his feed to apologize, again, and hoped he would see everyone on Friday, instead. However, there will be some who cannot make it and refunds will be available for those people. People are asked to go to their initial point of purchase for their refunds if needed. He has not been on Twitter since.
A note has also been placed on the website. However, it does not give a time for the event. That is presumably the same as the time Wednesday’s show would have been.
Friday will certainly be a busy night for the solo artist. As well as this new concert date, he will perform on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. There is no confirmation how the two will fit together as of yet. Performing on The Tonight Show is going to be an exciting thing; it is the first week with Fallon as the host.
There have been a number of people wondering what Timberlake’s illness could have been. He performed in Chicago on Tuesday night and there was no indication that anything was wrong. There is always the possibility that it was a 24-hour bug, and fans will want to see the Mirrors singer in full action, rather than performing half-heartedly.
The singer is likely going to take to Twitter if there is another problem, so fans may want to follow him if they aren’t already. Hopefully, this will be the only concert Timberlake has to postpone for health, or any other, reasons.
