Rihanna and Drake Find Love, While Chris Brown Sits in a Hopeless Place

Everyone knows where Chris Brown is right now, behind bars. After being bounced from a fancy all-inclusive treatment center in sunny Malibu, California, he has substantially traded down for a cell in the LA County Jail. Rihanna, on a happier note, was last seen in Europe accompanying Drake on several stops of his overseas tour. The two closed down a restaurant in Manchester on Friday, with 16 of their friends, sipping and nibbling in an undeniably intimate setting. So while Chris Brown sits in a seemingly hopeless place, Rihanna and Drake have unofficially found love.

At first, the press noticed Drake and Rihanna’s affinity for one another back in January, when the two were stepping out together right before the Grammys. During the same period they were both seen at Hooray Henry’s in Los Angeles, and the public began to suspect something. Since then, the collaborative appearances have multiplied in frequency and it seems likely the announcement everyone is waiting for will soon follow.

It became crystal clear last week That Rihanna was taking some well deserved time off to follow Drake on tour, when the Bajan goddess was spotted eating sushi with Drake in Amsterdam. This was followed by a very late bowling session in Manchester, proceeding Drake’s show earlier that evening. Enjoying their prospective company so much it seems, the two did not leave the bowling lanes until 4 a.m.

This tendency to forget the time and stay out late appeared again on Friday, when the two and their 16 friends shut down Zouk Restaurant and bar in Manchester to have all for themselves. Staying this time until 3:30 a.m. and spending up to $7,000 on the bill, the unofficial couple apparently danced and talked until the virtual break of day. According to sources, AKA the restaurant’s owner, they even listened to a sneak peek of Drake’s unreleased new album. It sounds like Drake and Rihanna found love in an Indian place just before Chris Brown began hopelessly sitting in jail.

The latest celebrity sighting took place in London on Friday, when Drake and Rihanna were once again spotted out to dinner together. Certainly seems like a lot of rendezvous for a pair who are apparently purely friends. While Drake in a recent interview did admit that in the past they had dated for a brief and blissful moment, he reiterated that they are currently platonic. He did, however, insinuate how grand it would be and how lucky he would be if the two ever did become a real item. The Canadian crooner who grew up on TV and the Bajan princess who defied a life of poverty to ascend the ranks and become pop royalty: quite a lethal combination.

Rihanna has yet to comment on the current status of her notorious ex, Chris Brown. It would seem she is simply having too much fun with Drake to be bothered. Drake’s next tour stop is in Scotland, and the press is now expecting Rihanna to appear there as well. Everyone is waiting to see what the two will do next, seen as they have ceased all efforts to remain hidden from the spotlight at this point. Perhaps once they are ready, they will make their burgeoning relationship known to the eager world. Until then, while Chris Brown sits in a hopeless and unfriendly place, Rihanna and drake are finding love.
