Adam Levine Model History

Adam Levine

Adam Levine, lead singer of Maroon 5, married his model girlfriend, Behati Prinsloo, yesterday in Mexico. The singer’s history of dating models is a long one dating back to his first album with the group. Songs About Jane, the band’s debut album is said to be inspired by Jane Herman Bishop who dated the Maroon 5 front man from 1997 to 2001.

Jane Herman Bishop is a celebrity in her own right. A former model, writer for Vogue and then the Gap’s Director of Concept she has made a name for herself in the fashion industry. She and Levine were high school sweethearts and split after four years. He told MTV at the time that at least one line within each song he writes is about her and that This Love was written about the day they broke up.

In between his relationship with Jane and the long list of models he dated, Levine dated celebrities Cameron Diaz, Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton. These three may not be supermodels but they are all beautiful women and fit his type.

In 2005 the Maroon 5 singer reportedly briefly dated Maria Sharapova, tennis player and model. After that he moved on to Rebecca Ginos, model and LA cocktail waitress whom he dated on and off for a few years from 2005-2008. He was a little too forthcoming about this relationship in an interview with Howard Stern. Levine called her sexy and was straightforward about their energetic sex life.

Later in 2008, he dated German Playboy model Janine Habeck. Some sources refer to it as more of a hookup than actual dating.

During 2009, Adam Levine added to the list of models in his dating history when he dated Ariell Vandenberg. Vandenberg has dated her own list of famous men, including Shaun White and Chris Masterson. She was not the only model he dated during that year. Angela Bellotte, a Victoria’s Secret model, also made the list in 2009.

In early 2010 at the Sports Illustrated swimsuit launch party in Las Vegas, Levine met Anne Vyalitsana. Anne V, as she is known in the modeling world, works for both Sports Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret. Their relationship lasted until 2012. At its height, they posed nude for a photo shoot in Russian Vogue.

After his breakup with Vyalitsana, Levine dated three different models. In 2013 he began dating another Victoria’s Secret model, Behati Prinsloo, but they broke up a number of times. During the first of those breakups, he dated model and actress Amanda Setton. During the second breakup, he dated another Sports Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret model, Nina Agdal.

Levine proposed  to Prinsloo during the weekend of July 13-14, 2013. One year later they were married in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on July 19. Another celebration will take place at the bride’s family’s home in South Africa.

Reportedly, last month the singer apologized to his former girlfriends about his poor treatment of them. Reports from Independent.IE indicate that most did not respond to his overtures and by their reasoning, it is because his exes do not care. Adam Levine’s history of dating models should be over now that he tied the knot with Prinsloo.
