BoyleAt 53 years old, chart topping singer Susan Boyle finally has her first boyfriend. The Scottish singer who rose to stardom after performing I Dreamed a Dream on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, started modestly and is now a best seller. Boyle who was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome only recently, has said that the diagnosis sometimes makes her feel like she is the mother of giant gorilla King Kong. In an interview with the Daily Mail, she talked about not only the Asperger’s but also her battle with depression and mood swings.

Now the Scottish singer who at one point in time admitted that she had never even had a kiss, has a boyfriend. During her recent tour which brought her to the United States, Boyle admits that she met a doctor at one of the hotels she was staying in. The two shared what the singer describes as a romantic dinner together and that the doctor was a perfect gentleman. In an interview with the Sun, Boyle discusses the man she now calls her boyfriend. Although she will not share his name because she feels it would not be fair to him, the singer does say that not only is he a very nice person but also that he is around the same age as her.

People Magazine confirmed the story with the singer’s representative who also said that her tour in conjunction with her sixth album was a success and that she would be back for more in 2015. While Boyle confirmed that she has a new boyfriend in her life, she did say that it was still very early in the relationship and that the couple would need to see where things went in the future. She did mention to the interviewer with the Sun that she was hoping that her new man would come visit her from the states.

Although the singer is dealing with her Asperger’s and admits that people with her condition tend to put up a wall that blocks people from getting close to her, she says she wants to let people into her life. She said that the reason that individuals with Asperger’s push people away is a lack of trust. Boyle acknowledges that she has actually gotten better at dealing with the mood swings since the diagnosis. While she doesn’t have a problem when she is on stage, off stage when she feels her mood shifting to a point where she can no longer contain herself, she will walk away until she has calmed down.

While Boyle says she plans to take things slowly with her new boyfriend, she admitted that he has made plans to visit her in West Lothian and she says she hopes that he actually does make it over to see her. It has been a year of changes for the singer, from the diagnosis to a brand new relationship. Although the new man in her life may still be a mystery to her fans, it looks like Susan might finally get her first kiss and fulfill her dreams of a family and a man in her life.
