Love
The Blast is reporting that Courtney Love, daughter Frances Bean Cobain, and Love’s sister Jaime King have all been granted a restraining order against ex-manager Sam Lutfi. The judge extended the standard three-year Permanent Restraining Order (PRO) to extend to five years.

In December, Love who is 54-years-old, was given a Temporary Restraining Order against her former Manager. Love claimed that Lutfi, age 44-years-old, was harassing the singer and her family with threatening emails, phone calls, and texts to try to retrieve the money he thought she owed him.

“The escalating verbal harassment and threats of Sam Lutfi left no choice for Courtney and her family but to seek protection,” Love’s attorney, Howard King said. “The Cobain’s are grateful for the anti-harassment order issued by the Los Angeles Superior Court against Mr. Lutfi and the powers it provides law enforcement to assure that Mr. Lutfi terminates all contact with the family.”

The Judge from the Los Angeles County Court granted the restraining order after hearing the evidence. Before he granted the order, it was reported that he said that Lutfi preys upon people.

The Blast reported the judge also made mention of Lutfi’s relationship with his former client Britney Spears and he asked why would a person get involved with an individual like that? In 2008, Spears sought out and was granted a restraining order against her former manager. She claimed he drugged her and emotionally abused her.

Lutfi served as Spears’ manager during the mid-2000s He was there when she had her mental breakdown and was hospitalized multiple times. Lutfi and Spears entered into a legal battle for three-year after Lutfi sued Spears for unpaid wages, her father, for punching him, and her mother for defaming him in her book.

The judge dismissed the case in November 2012.

Love’s Lawyer, Howard King, stated that the verbal threats and harassment that Lufti inflicted on love left her no choice except to seek a restraining order. The Cobain’s are thankful for the protection order issued against Lufti and the powers it provides the police so they can assure Luft does not contact the family again.

The Protection Order states that Lufti must stay 100 feet away from Courtney Love, her daughter Frances Bean and sister Jaime. He also is not permitted to contact them and must not make any comments on social media about them.

In a 2016 lawsuit, Lutfi was implicated in trying to orchestra a kidnapping of Frances Bean and Isaiah Silva, her ex-husband.

Love parted ways with Lutfi after both of them were sued in May by Isaiah Silva (her daughter’s ex-husband) for orchestrating a break-in at his home and trying to steal Cobain’s guitar, which is currently in Silva presently has.

As part of his divorce settlement from Bean Cobain, Silva was permitted to keep the 1959 Martin guitar that Cobain played in 1993. Cobain died of suicide a year after the performance.

The lawsuit also named Ross Butler who acted in the series “13 Reasons Why”, John Nazarian who is a private investigator and Michael Schenk who is a musician. Silvah alleged that the group engaged in robbery, burglary, sexual battery, attempted murder, kidnapping, criminal threats, extortion, imprisonment, stalking, trespass and infliction of emotional distress.

Lutfi has not commented on the outcome of this case.
