Rapper Nipsey Hussle and Crips Gang Member Killed Outside Clothing Store

Ermias Ashgedom otherwise known as Nipsey Hussle, the Grammy-nominated rapper was shot and killed on March 31, 2019, in Los Angeles outside of his “Marathon Store” clothing store that he opened in 2017. It has been reported Hussle was shot six times. Hustle was 33-years-old.

Two other men are at the hospital listed in serious condition. A suspect was seen leaving the scene and remain at large.

A spokesperson from the Los Angeles Police Department, Mike Lopez said at approximately 3:20 pm PT the shooting occurred in the 3400 block of Slauson Avenue. Lopez said the investigation is ongoing and nobody in regards to the shooting has been detained, and the perpetrator remains at large.

It has been rumored that Hussle is a member of the Crips gang. Despite that fact, he has worked with Bloods gang member YG and The Game. It is unknown if the shooting is gang-related.

A few days ago Hussle and his girlfriend Lauren completed for GQ magazine a “Couples Quiz.”

Hustle is survived by his girlfriend Lauren London, they have two children, one born in 2016.
