SpearsThings have been difficult for the pop princess Britney Spears lately. Her father was recently diagnosed with colon issues due to a ruptured colon, and his health has been declining. She also recently checked herself into a mental health facility for treatment.

For over ten years, Grammy Winner Britney Spears’s $200 million fortune has been in a conservatorship run by her father 66-year-old Jamie Spears for more than ten decades.

Jeffrey W. Steinberg, an attorney in Beverly Hills, spoke with RadarOnline and said since Jamie is incapacitated, he could appoint a conservator to take his place.

It would also be possible that Spear’s sister 28-year-old Jamie Lynn could be appointed a conservator if Jamie agrees to the responsibility. Any other family member could also be selected.

If Jamie was uncomfortable, she could appoint an attorney to be in charge.

Andrew Wallet, the co-conservator of the estate resigned in March 2018. Spears’ father was left the only one in charge.

Spears’ father is presently battling multiple medical ailments, and his condition is grave. If it comes to the point that he would no longer be able to make cognitive decisions or dies, while Spears is receiving mental health treatment, a court could appoint an administrator, Steinberger said.

37-year-old Britney could petition the court to take control of her money when she is out of treatment.

Steinberger said the court could make her see a therapist to determine if she is competent and could handle her finances.

Ultimately, Spears is an adult, it is her money, and she has the right to have it. It is the court’s decision if she can handle it.
