Wafah Dufour, the niece of Osama bin Laden, is presently the lead singer of an all-female rock band.
Dufour left the public spotlight almost 13 years ago after she broke up with singer and coach on “The Voice,” John Legend. She also had a failed music career.
43-year-old Dufour who is a former socialite started using the last name of her mother. It has been reported she left New York a few weeks before her uncle ordered the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
Dufour is now playing with her band, Deep Tan. RadarOnline recently received photos from the group’s opinion at a club in London on March 9, 2019.
Dufour was born in the United States, but her family moved to Saudi Arabia where she was raised. She does not discuss her family.
The rocker sports multiple tattoos. One shows Kermit the Frog smoking marijuana. She claims she loves the United States and met her uncle Osama Bin Laden only one time.
Dufour’s father is Osama bin Laden’s Yeslam, who was his half brother.
Born in Los Angeles, California, she moved to Saudi Arabia, and later with her parents to Geneva, Switzerland.
Bin Laden’s niece earned a degree in law from Geneva University and later went to New York’s Columbia Law School where she received a master’s degree.
Dufour has said in past interviews that Bin Laden would have “a heart attack,” and would “die” if he knew about her career choice as a musician. Under Sharia law, she would have been stoned to death.
It is reported she collaborated with Nellee Hooper, producer for Madonna. However, she was not signed due to her Bin Laden birth name.
