Am I alone or do other informed Americans find reason to question our government’s attacks on “Tik Tok?” I am not going to defend social media. I personally believe that all social media is harmful to our nation’s future. However, if one of these useless and annoying sources of inaccurate and useless information is banned, they all must be banned. Read the First Amendment.

Mccarthy’s Position As the Speaker Is a Sham

Our nation’s gutless and powerless Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, is making another thinly veiled attempt to protect his Fuhrer. Trump constantly attacked China, therefore it should be no surprise that the “Speaker Without Cojones” supports the effort to ban TikTok which is owned by a Chinese company.

McCarthy does not deserve our attention. He is a tool without an iota of credibility. He sold his literal soul to the Freedom Caucus to obtain his position on an historical 15th vote after surrendering all of his powers. McCarthy is a “Eunuch.”

Explain to Me How TikTok Is Related to National Security

Some members of our security agencies claim that this Chinese company is a danger to national security. But is this a fact? All social media can be easily monitored, and therefore a weak outlet for espionage. Our government hides many of its guilty secrets under the guise of “national security.” And what about Trump’s theft of classified information? This is surely a greater threat to America than any form of social media.

In 2016 Russian Interference on Facebook Resulted in a Rigged Election

I agree with New York Representative, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, “this doesn’t feel right.” It smells like another political game from the right. Trump claims to be a candidate for the presidency in 2024. However, with several indictments pending, and accusations of treason and sedition, his Klan is desperate to redirect attention from America’s greatest criminal: a man who should be in prison awaiting trial, if there was any justice in America. This is how I see it, and once again proves that politics is the ugliest and most corrupt profession in the world.

The Fourth Estate Fails to Expose Corruption in Washington

I believe that Washington politicians are fearing for themselves, not for our country. Some experts claim that the only threats from TikTok are to the wealthy and powerful. If they are exposed, the right wing will lose an increasingly greater number of elections in the future, and this will greatly upset their owners.

Doug Jacobson, writing for the Des Moines Register, suggested we consider an alternate possibility for the fruitless investigations.

If the data does end up in the hands of the Chinese government, the question is how could it use the data to its benefit. The government could share it with other companies in China to help them profit, which is no different than U.S. companies sharing marketing data. The Chinese government is known for playing the long game, and data is power, so if it is collecting data, it could take years to learn how it benefits China.

Members of our government claim that this is an effort to prevent theft of information by China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia and Venezuela. Conveniently left out of the mix is Saudi Arabia. Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman continues to move towards the top of the list of America’s enemies. However, the attention remains on China as it did during the illegitimate Trump administration.

Is China the Biggest Threat to Our Nation’s People?

Let’s get real. Our government continues to ignore the greatest threat to our nation’s people: violence by domestic terrorists. More mass shootings than days on the calendar, violent threats against officials serving all Americans, and an 800 percent increase in hate crimes provide irrefutable proof that there are greater problems in America. Our huge and expensive security agencies are paid to secure information sought by our enemies. They must do their job to validate their existence.

If it sounds like I do not trust our government, you are “right on the money.” They lie to us constantly under the guise of “need to know,” and the aforementioned “reasons of national security.” I have news for our government: we, the people, are the nation and we have a right to know the truth about everything. Secrecy is an excuse to hide crimes and misdemeanors.
