The “Fascist Four,” Laura Ingraham, Jeanine Pirro, Sean Hannity, and Tucker Carlson are the reason Fox News was forced to pay Dominion Voting Machines $778.5 million. The out-of-court settlement saved Fox and Rupert Murdoch a very embarrassing and damning trial.
A Good Beginning
Every morning after I wake up and make a cup of tea, I boot up my laptop and look at the news. This morning, April 25, 2023, what I read put a smile on my face. The most racist, fascist leaning fake news broadcaster on Fox was fired on Friday. Tucker Carlson will no longer be able to spread his lies and conspiracy theories to his ignorant viewers. The way I look at it, there should be three more firings immediately.
Fox would have lost the case filed by Dominion easily. Their lawyers had proof on tape that Carlson, Hannity, Ingraham, and Pirro admitted their hatred and disgust with Trump’s big lie about the 2020 election. However, on camera, they continued to claim that the election was “rigged.” Once again, by their own actions and words, Fox “personalities” prove that they are the origination of the term “fake news,” and their only purpose is as a propaganda machine for the extremists on the right side of the aisle.
Fox and Rupert Murdoch suffered the largest defamation settlement in American history known to the general public. $787.5 million is a hell of a lot of money, and Murdoch is not known for his generosity. However, he preferred to pay the large settlement rather than have the truth revealed about his evil creation, and his hated for America.
Harming America for 28 Years
Fox has been intentionally dividing our nation since 1995. I do not believe it is unrealistic to label it a terrorist organization intent on destroying the United States of America.
Fox sits at the root of division within my own family. Many of our relatives watch Fox and only Fox for everything they need to know about life in America and what happens in Washington. My wife dares not mention anything about Trump or his party. If she does, her brothers who live in Florida, burst into a rage. Trump, Fox, and their local news have brainwashed them.
If Fox did not exist, Trump would never have won the Electoral College in 2016. No one would be listening to DeSantis, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Greg Abbott, Lauren Boebert, Jim Jordan or others. Fox is the great villain hell bent on the destruction of the nation, the dream, of our Founding Fathers.
I Love My Country, But…..
I’m not a typical “Baby Boomer.” I do love my country, and on rare occasions tolerate my government. I believe that the Constitution is the greatest document ever written if it is considered a “living document.” However, I will never support the efforts from right-wing extremists to shred the Law of the Land, and their plans for the end democracy forever.
Finally, the ultimate truth. Right-wing politicians support a fascist regime because they are unable to win fair and secure elections. This is why they are adding additional laws designed to suppress the voting rights of the poor and all minorities.
It is up to us, the American people, to reverse the current atmosphere of anger, hatred, and violence. We must return compassion, understanding, and acceptance to this once respected country.
