The basic premise for the existence of religion is not evil or even bad. However, all religions were created by men, and powerful men are destined to become evil tyrants. Jesus Christ would not approve of the terrible things mankind has done in His name.

Republicans Are Bought and Paid for by Special Interests

In the United States, Christian Leaders are in control of one of our two major political parties. They allow this although the First Amendment clearly forbids this arrangement. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

Have no false illusions. Real Americans are engaged in a fight to save the First Amendment, the core of the Bill of Rights. There is no room for religion in politics. Our elected officials are obligated to represent all Americans, not just a few.

No Major Religion for Me

A repeat for some of you, but important to know. The fastest growing “religion” in America is “none of the above.” More than 75 million Americans, that’s nearly 23 percent, reject all major religions. Our concerns range from complete support for atheism to different levels of agnosticism. Our questions remain unanswered, including “if there is a God, why does He or She allow the spread of evil, and great harm to the world’s most vulnerable people?” All agree that there is no room in America for religious intervention in our political system.

Younger Americans Are Abandoning Christianity

The major religion losing converts faster than all others is Christianity. The hypocrisy displayed by leaders of multiple sects is literally “turning off” younger Americans. The “false prophets” preach from the Old Testament, ignoring the teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. These liars control their followers in the same manner Trump controls his cult, with the use of emotional weakness, including anger, hatred, and violence. None of it based on fact.

Two facts stand out above all others. Although Trump is a confirmed sexual predator, a malignant narcissist and liar, and a career criminal, Evangelical leaders supported him in 2016, and continue to support him today. The second fact is even more frightening. Most Republicans support the establishment of Christianity as America’s one true religion, the same reason why our Founding Fathers denounced King George III and left England for the New World. This would be an act of pure and undeniable treason. A direct attack on the First Amendment.

All elected officials have a single responsibility: to serve the needs and wishes of the electorate. Not a single man or woman calling themselves “Republican” today believe this to be of importance. They, in collusion with America’s plutocrats, choose to rule over us.

What Do We Do When Religions Renounce Doing the Right Thing and Become Evil?

Brandon Showalter, writing for the “Christian Post,” wrote this about Evangelicals.

The reputation of evangelicalism has been overtaken by evil and is currently full of misogyny, “nauseating” lust for power, “appalling” racism, and “terrifying” arrogance, says Beth Moore.

There is a great similarity between politicians and religious leaders. They will say and do anything to remain in power, and their goals are personal, not designed to serve the needs of those who support them.
